This was born out of a request by Morrigan on a pendant sporting a treble clef, she never decided whether to go ahead with it or not... I did so here it is.
------------------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT NOTE (PLEASE READ BELOW IN CASE YOU WANT ONE OF THESE)
After the many times I have been asked about whether I can make another piece like this, the answer is yes I can, however although I don't dislike fully this period of my work (all the weaves that is) I have outgrown it.
So I would like to stress that I will only revisit any such motifs if the price tag makes it justifiable for me, those asking and hoping to be charged less than £120-150 (+ the cost of the gemstone if it is an expensive one) (+shipping from wherever I happen to be in the world via private courier) for something of that period please do not take offence but I will not entertain the messages or requests.
I write this because I prefer to make that clear than to have to take these pieces off my deviantart gallery.
Answer to that is in the latest journal entry. However will make it easy for you £80 + shipping of your preference. If you are interested drop me a line on hyllyn@eldayn.com and I will give you some shipping options other than fedex or ups.
That's around $160 US, right? I'd have to save up for it. It's worth every penny. I have a friend whose daughter is a musician and she would adore this. I'll find out when her 18th birthday is. If you sell this one would you consider making a similar one at a later date? Another question is what would the price be for one made in yellow metals?
I read your latest post and I was extremely impressed by your attitude and your commitment not to compromise your talents. When I was your age I was struggling with clinical depression though I didn't know what that was, that there was a name for what was wrong with me, and with parents who were totally unsupportive of my creative aspirations. I was constantly told I couldn't make a living doing art and that I should get a "real" job and quit dreaming. I often wonder where I'd be now had things been different, but I believe that we choose our circumstances for the life lessons we hope to learn. The lessons I've chosen have put me here, today at almost 51 years old and still trying to get past the negative programming of my childhood, get out of my own way and allow myself to be who I am, which is an artist.
You gave me a great start to my day. Thank you so much!
Wow that is some really refreshing comment. I'm honoured to have helped you have a great start to your day
I must say that gladly I have not encountered those issues from those close to me, perhaps because they are all related to the art scene in one way or another, so despite them wanting me to be something else there's not really much they can say to make me choose something else.
Here's to you and hoping that you find yourself for good, it is only too late once you die so while there's breath in your lungs you still have a chance...
At today's exchange rate that is $146.
You know I think this whole reversal of things might not be a step back, I am glad that some people can see why I am flagging the issues I have tried here. I am also a customer but I know that it is disrecpetful to haggle and belittle someone's work no matter how accomplished or not and often that show of respect comes with pleasant surprises, in your case the surprise will be that I do want to sell it to you as you have shown me you can see what I wanted to communicate, whether you need to save or not, we all have our own issues and commitments and that is understandable, what isn't understandable is to expect other people to sell to you for a pittance because you don't have the money at the time.
So yes in answer to your question I will sell to you for £80 + Shipping (approx £8 with Royal Mail international signed for and insured), also let's word this different, I can make you one similar later for a reason alone... I am selling you this particular design so you might keep it and what comes with it.
The price of the other version depends on the cost of materials of course so I can get you a budget for the materials and then it is up to you to say yes or no and when.
That is one trick I learnt from Don Fogg, Randal Graham and all the other bladesmithing folks... unless you get someone's word for it (or money) everything is available on a first come, first serve basis.
We want to know what love means to you!
